Open Day on Artificial Intelligence (AI) vol 2.

HPE Education Services had invited me to give a lecture aimed to help professionals from any industry to prepare for their adaptation to the AI world.

IT professionals who wanted to make the transition or understand how AI will change software development, middle and senior management, HR managers and specialists who need guidance on job market changes – everyone was welcome!

This event provided an opportunity to learn more about this technology and its implications on everyday life. Attendees were able to gain insights into how they can use it effectively in their own businesses or work environments as well as gain valuable knowledge of emerging trends.

Main topics of the lecture:

- AI and FOMO.
- Does it make sense to learn Prompt Engineering?
- How AI will change the job market?
- What are the new (cyber)security threats related to AI?
- Why estimates of the time to emergence of so-called general artificial intelligence (AGI) have dropped over the last 3 years, to just 10% of original expectations?
- AI as the only way forward for humanity.
- What role does the large language models (LLMs) such as GPT4 play?
- How does the big language models actually work?
- Is ChatGPT just a "statistical parrot" or much more?
- How did ChatGPT emerge from GPT3 and why was the impact mainly socio-cultural rather than technological?
- Why there is an open letter from prominent researchers calling for the suspension of training larger LLMs than GPT4 so that the focus can be on developing tools for AI security?
- How can AI impact human employment and what we should be doing now?

Open Day took place here: HEWLETT-PACKARD s.r.o., Za Brumlovkou 1559/5, 140 00 Prague 4 (room “Mr.&Mrs. Smith”)
