Open Day on Artificial Intelligence (AI) vol 2.

HPE Education Services invited me to deliver a lecture aimed at professionals from all industries in their adaptation to the world of AI.

Whether they were IT professionals seeking to understand how AI will transform software development, middle and senior managers, or HR specialists needing guidance on job market changes, everyone was welcome!

This event offered an opportunity to delve deeper into this technology and its implications on everyday life. Attendees were able to gain insights into how they could effectively implement AI in their own businesses or work environments, and acquire valuable knowledge of emerging trends.

Main topics of the lecture:

  • AI and FOMO.

  • Does it make sense to learn Prompt Engineering?

  • How will AI change the job market?

  • What are the new (cyber)security threats related to AI?

  • Why have estimates for the time to emergence of the so-called General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) dropped over the last 3 years, to just 10% of original expectations?

  • AI as the only way forward for humanity.

  • What role do large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 play?

  • How do large language models actually work?

  • Is ChatGPT just a "statistical parrot" or much more?

  • How did ChatGPT emerge from GPT-3 and why was its impact mainly socio-cultural rather than technological?

  • Why is there an open letter from prominent researchers calling for the suspension of training larger LLMs than GPT-4, so that the focus can be on developing tools for AI security?

  • How can AI impact human employment, and what should we be doing now?

Open Day took place here: HEWLETT-PACKARD s.r.o., Za Brumlovkou 1559/5, 140 00 Prague 4 (room “Mr.&Mrs. Smith”)
